Painted cloth doll Lilly.

30 cm, acrylic.

FOR SALE.

I got many questions about how I do paint my dolls face. Well...
I use permanence acryl
.http://www.locateproduct.com/products/MisterArt-com-103/Winsor-Newt...
It is fluid paint.I don´t use solvents.I make several layers for face painting .
In each layer I add shades (from dark to light) and sometimes I "correct" my mistakes.
Painting each layer is quite time consuming.
Sometimes I wait until it dries and sometimes I paint it "wet", endlessly blending paints in order to achieve the smooth color transition on the doll´s face.
Honestly, I´ve never ever thought about how I actually do it.
I work a lot "in mixed media painting".I think it helps me great deal.
